Purpose

 

The Post Trim Technician will aide in facilitating a variety of different tasks that prepare product for the next phase of processing. This position will be responsible for effectively communicating with the Post Trim Leads, Supervisors, and fellow team members to achieve a quality trim with machinery, sorting and organizing the product accurately, and the maintenance of the machinery.  This position ensures accurate documentation and recording of data while upholding company standards of quality, which requires a high attention to detail and must follow all state regulations and company standards.  This position will report to the Manager of Trim, the Trim Supervisors, and the Post Trim Leads.

 

Essential Duties

 

Procedures:

  • When operating the trim machine follow all safety protocols and company procedures while making sure product is always running through machines.
  • Properly label bins by strain and store.
  • Weigh bins and drums for data entry.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets for tracking.
  • Perform quality control on all product post machine trim.
  • Prepare product for curing.

Data Collection and Recording:

  • Must ensure accurate translation and recording of data in a timely manner.
  • Weigh and record information using electronic scales.
  • Ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented and that appropriate controls and audit are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.

Quality Control:

  • Follow company standards to ensure all product follows the standards of pre-weigh.
  • Utilize physical labels to identify all product accurately.
  • Review, inspect and confirm product information and quality before curing.
  • If quality and information does not match company standards, communicate with leadership to ensure all standards are met.

Communication and Facilitation:

  • Ensure that product is running through the machines and that quality control are being performed at all times.
  • Communicate with different team members and leadership to ensure proper flow of information and production.

Workspace and Material Maintenance:

  • Ensure organization and cleanliness of immediate work station.
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the production area.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly and periodic cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Maintain machine’s set up and breakdown each day.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools and related equipment (scissors, table, floors etc.).

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.  

Other Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work such trimming, bucking, cleaning and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.

Supervision:

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Trim, Trim Supervisors, and Post Trim Leads
  • This person may be instructed to guide and train but not supervise and discipline others

Job Qualifications

 

Work Experience:

  • Six months of work experience in a related industry or work environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful demeanor towards others.
  • Demonstrates oral and communication capability.
  • Knowledge and background in trimming preferred.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Labor Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

  •  Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
