Buy Concentrates at Your Local Dispensary

Cannabis concentrates have been around for quite a long time. In fact, one of the first recorded uses of concentrates was hashish, a terpene-, cannabinoid-, and flavonoid-rich product created using the trichomes of the marijuana plant. It was obviously popular because hash is still around today.

Today’s cannabis concentrates are produced using two primary methods—solvent-based extraction and solventless extraction—and you can find both types at your local LivWell dispensary. Solvent-based extraction uses a solvent, such as butane or CO2, to force all our favorite compounds from the plant material. Solventless extraction methods swap solvents for other methods of extraction, like dry sifting or ice water baths. Each method creates the unique options you can purchase.

If potency, flavor, and versatility are three features you look for in your cannabis products, cannabis concentrates should definitely be on your must-try list. Be prepared to see a huge variety of options, too. Marijuana concentrates come in all different forms, and each form offers its own unique experience.

Some common types of cannabis concentrates include:

  • Wax: This thick, flaky, and flavorful marijuana concentrate is one of the most popular forms of concentrates.

  • Shatter: One of the most unique-looking concentrates on the market, shatter is a stunning, translucent shade of amber and breaks just like glass.

  • Oil: This liquid concentrate is commonly added to vape cartridges, along with food and drinks.

  • Budder: A dabber’s dream, this soft, creamy concentrate melts perfectly on the hot nail of a dab rig.

  • Rosin: When the right amount of heat and pressure are applied to trichomes or even a marijuana flower, you get a sticky nectar called rosin.

  • Live Resin: This resin, made using a solvent-based technique on flash-frozen cannabis flower, preserves many of the cannabinoids and terpenes found in marijuana.

  • Hash: Made from the dried, compressed trichomes of a marijuana plant, hash has been popular for centuries.

Of course, there are many more options. If you’re ready to shop for cannabis concentrates, take a look at your dispensary’s product menu to see what we have in stock near you.
