The Compliance and Audit Coordinator will be responsible and focused on process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely product inventory audit and controls at all production locations, as well as final compliance checks on products produced at the Marijuana Products Manufacturer (MIP). The Compliance and Audit Coordinator will be dedicated to tracking inventory through daily, weekly, and quarterly audits. This role will work with the Manager of MIPS Compliance and Audits and the Extraction team to ensure that potential issues are addressed, and compliance is maintained throughout the facility. The Compliance and Audit Coordinator is required to follow policies and procedures to track product from seed to sale while adhering to company and state regulations. The Compliance and Audit Coordinator is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism. They will be required to travel to all locations to audit product as needed and compare our Inventory Tracking System with Metrc. They will be responsible for investigating any discrepancies and recording necessary adjustments in Metrc. They will be knowledgeable of Marijuana Enforcement Division rules and regulations and be a resource to all production staff.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Procedures and Productivity

  • Conduct daily audits of finished goods and notify Production management of discrepancies.
  • Complete quarterly audits of all Production inventory.
  • Conduct final compliance checks on all MIP products before making them ready to distribute.
  • Digital tracking precision.
  • Work in a timely manner and strives for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a culture of professionalism.
  • Assist Manager of MIPS Compliance and Audits with a variety of compliance-related tasks.


Tracking and Audits

  • Conduct daily product audits through Inventory Tracking System that link up with Metrc.
  • Conduct and take part in quarterly audits.
  • Conduct onboarding audits of production facilities for all company acquisitions.


Logs and Record Keeping

  • Compile Metrc adjustment template and communicate adjustments.
  • Pull reports for Metrc adjustments.


Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that workflow and work procedures are followed and documented, and that appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of current production audit procedures.


Other Duties

  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, assisting the Testing team as needed.



  • Works under the general supervision of the Manager of MIPS Compliance and Audits.



  • Bachelor’s degree or similar work-related experience.



  • 1 – 3 years of work experience in a related industry or work environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with Metrc and inventory systems.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and respectful demeanor towards others.
  • Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, Marijuana Enforcement Division.
  • Working current knowledge of the Colorado cannabis industry/laws.

Working Conditions

  • Travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
