The Senior Manager of Processing is responsible for the planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of the functions of  the Trim, Cure, and Packaging department for the Colorado Grow Facilities. Supplying all departments daily needs in terms of leadership, direction, and management functions.  This position is responsible for the development and evolution of the Processing department, in collaboration with the Analytics, Research & Development, Testing, Compliance, Security, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations department leadership.  This position will report directly to the General Manager of Operations.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities



  • Oversee all Processing departments(Trim, Cure, and Grow Packaging) at the Colorado Grow Facilities.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met including facilitation the immediate adjustment of practices to accommodate the dynamic changes that regularly occur.
  • Ensuring all staff is following company defined protocols. Enforce all company policies/regulations.
  • Performing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Manage employees, including planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.
  • Ensure all team members are performing assigned tasks to company standards.
  • Develop and maintain the management of Trim, Cure, and Grow Packaging procedures at the facility.
  • Plan and carry out the management of cleaning procedures.
  • Determine daily harvest batches and amount of plants to be harvested by collaborating with the Manager of Production in an effort to maintain smooth garden cadence and facilitating appropriate adjustments in planned harvests due to plant health challenges and changes.
  • Manage the rotation and adjustments of cure rooms based on moisture levels and rate of drying.
  • Planning and managing schedules for cleaning of all equipment, supplies, and machinery.
  • Executing the management of the daily packaging needs defined by the Senior Manager of Analytics, coordinating with the Manager of Grow Packaging and Distribution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager of Operations and Director of Operations.


Inventory and Reporting

  • Execute production flow according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure all protocols are being followed.
  • Update and track all required information daily.
  • Monitor and address situations which may include lost tags, minimizing bud/product loss.
  • Determine plants for extraction.
  • Communicate with all departments for product requirements
  • Ensuring that sufficient supplies for the Processing departments are available.


Process and Controls

  • Delegate tasks to employees on a priority basis.
  • Ensure all Processing members perform assigned tasks in accordance with Delt Services and department standards.
  • Assist employees and management to accomplish all tasks, quotas and goals on a daily basis.
  • Determine the quality of product from each day’s harvest and how it will be graded.
  • Monitor environment and product for moisture levels and rate of drying.
  • Communication with all teams regarding all processes.



  • Ensure communication between the department for work flow.
  • Communicate changes to Delt’s standards, protocol, and policy to employees.




  • Assist with providing leadership and direction to departmental employees to ensure the effective use and management of systems. Think in terms of operational effectiveness, accessibility, security, and scalability.


Compliance and Reporting

  • Assist to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Assist to ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented and that appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.


Leadership and Supervision

  • Assist with management of employees, including hiring and developing, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.
  • Provide technical leadership and managerial direction to designated employees.
  • Assist in establishing initial and ongoing training for employees to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies and procedures.
    • Secure proper training for all new/incoming employees.
  • Ensure that individual and team performance meets the Company’s standards of service and quality.
  • Monitor Processing employee attendance, time off balances, time off requests, and all other attendance related procedures/processes.
  • Perform disciplinary actions as discussed with the General Manager of Operations.
  • Perform departmental reviews.
  • Provide coaching for Processing employees.
  • Work collaboratively with all Delt’s employees and business partners.
  • Assist with providing effective leadership to employees to ensure a complete understanding of and alignment to Delt’s vision, mission and values to maintain a positive work environment and a high level of morale.


Project Management

  • Assist with Developing and managing projects, including defining project scope, resources and achieving deliverables on time and within budget.


Work Environment

  • Adhere to all work safety requirements including but not limited to: lifting, bending, and moving up and down ladders throughout shift.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools, and related equipment to ensure the garden is well maintained.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all areas in the garden.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that creates a positive work environment.
  • Keep doors closed when not in use.
  • Wear protective clothing when working with plants.
  • Before exiting the facility remove protective clothing and ensure that there is no cannabis on your personal clothing, shoes, or hair.



  • Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Production.
  • Supervises non-exempt employees.


Job Qualifications


Work Experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience working in a related industry or work environment.
  • A minimum of three years of leadership experience working in a related industry or work environment.
  • Six months to one year of experience Trimming, Curing, and Grow Packaging required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to utilize and modify electronic documents for the trim department.
  • Able to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions

  • Able to use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environment.
  • Able to perform general office managerial and administrative activities.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
